Simmonsigns Meets July 1st 2013 New CPR (CE) Marking Deadline

From 1st July 2013, under the Construction Products Regulation 2011 (CPR), manufacturers and distributors of highway electrical (construction) products will be required to apply CE marking to all products placed on the market, where such products are covered by a Harmonised European Standard or by a European Technical Assessment.

Simmonsigns has worked hard to obtain the necessary certification for the products which come under the EN 12899-1:2007-Fixed vertical road traffic signs, EN 12899-2:2007-Transilluminated traffic bollards (TTB) standards and EN40-6:2002 Aluminium Lighting Columns (in relation to the Simmonsigns Modupost), all of which are covered by the CPR, to ensure they will be CE marked from 1st July 2013.

The relevant Certificate of Conformity and Declaration of Performance for each product can be seen within the customer login area on the website, where they can also be downloaded if required.

If you would like to learn more about the CPR (CE) directive then both the HEA and ARTSM have produced guides, a copy of these can be found below.
