Simmonsigns confirms two key appointments as company pushes for growth

Simmonsigns has appointed Chris Turton and Gary Turner to the company’s senior leadership team to further develop the business’s manufacturing base and product development ambitions.

Chris joins as Managing Director and as well as managing the sales team, he will prioritise the product development and opening up new markets. With a successful track record in product design and development, as well as taking innovative products to market, Chris will combine both skills sets in his new role.

Gary Turner is the new Operations Manager at Simmonsigns. Having worked for a number of manufacturing companies in the West Midlands in a variety of roles, he will focus on operational efficiency to minimise the time from order to product delivery.

Phil Simmons, Chairman of Simmonsigns, said: “We are delighted to welcome Chris and Gary to the business. Having been with us only a few weeks, both have hit the ground running and are making their presence felt – which is exactly what we asked for!”

“We’ve got big plans for the future, and we look forward to benefiting from the skills and experience Chris and Gary bring to Simmonsigns.”

In joining Simmonsigns, Chris is focused on building the legacy of the company in the road safety industry and using it as a platform for product innovation. “It’s an exciting time to be joining the company and I’m looking forward to using my experience to make a difference. There’s been a lot to learn in a very short space of time but I’ve already identified plenty of potential” added Chris.

For Gary, the new role is an opportunity to use his energy and experience to make the operations function work harder for the business. Gary said: “We’ve got a great team here at Simmonsigns and we’re already working on how we can better share our knowledge to become more effective and efficient. I’m looking forward to working with Chris to help him drive the business forward.”
