In order to maintain safety in subway underpasses, there should be high quality lighting that keeps these areas well-lit at all times. At Simmonsigns, we have developed a range of quality subway lighting systems specifically to keep underpasses secure, any time of the day or night, and helping pedestrians to feel safe at all times.

A stainless-steel luminaire for use in subways, on bridge walk-ways and in car parks, Safelite uses a simple linear styling in keeping with our product, Safe-Way.

More about the Safelite

  • The unit can be run in continuous strips or with infills as shown
  • Evenly spaced luminaires shown on 1000mm centres, each with 48 LEDs
  • One luminaire has one array mounted to an aluminium fitting, easily removed using standard low profile M5 panel fasteners
  • Approx 50% power of Safe-Way (LEDs run at lower power)
  • Approx 50% light output of Safe-Way
  • Safelite is a 500mm long x 114mm wide x 99mm deep stainless-steel luminaire for use in subways, on bridge walk-ways and in car parks. It weighs 4.5Kg
  • Intended to be sold without a lighting design but we could supply photometric file for customers to do their own
  • It accepts 20mm or 25mm conduit fittings or for use with buried cables
  • It is designed to mount directly to wall, ceiling or cornice due to its slim profile
  • Optional dummy infills can be designed to allow fewer luminaires if desired
  • It has two buried security fixings to close the front and is IK10 (TBC) / IP65 (TBC) when closed
  • It has optional easily replaced windows - 5mm PC Clear | 3mm Stippled | 1mm Sacrificial
