The Highway Electrical Association’s annual conference, exhibition and awards night took place this year on 28th October at the Celtic Manor Hotel in Newport, Wales. 

It’s been a well-kept secret for some time, but now, we are delighted to finally announce that our Director of Sales, Steve Keary, has won their Employee Of The Year award.

A select few in our organisation knew of Steve’s win; he was nominated by the company and subsequently voted for by industry peers and we were delighted when we were told the fantastic news.

Unfortunately, Steve was unable to attend the event and collect his prize in person, having recently undergone an operation (from which, he is thankfully making a speedy recovery!) But regardless, we are over the moon for Steve and, as a true asset to the Simmonsigns team, we believe him to be a thoroughly deserving winner. 

Speaking of the win, Steve said “I am very proud to have received this award, made extra special as it’s my 30th year in the industry. I’d like to thank Simmonsigns for their continued support and trust in me. Discovering I’d won was a bittersweet moment as, for the first time in many years, I’d been unable to attend the event following an operation. I now understand why Sue East seemed so agitated when I told her I wasn’t going to be there! But from what I have heard, the event was a huge success; so well done to everyone at the HEA.”
