Solar-Powered Belisha Beacon Is Available To Order Now
Our solar-powered pedestrian crossing beacon, Solabel, is an innovative product in the world of road safety. Developed to help pedestrians safely across the road, our unique solar panel has a low visual impact design, making it aesthetically pleasing. This unrivalled design allows the Solabel to seamlessly blend in amongst any urban environment.
The Solabel Belisha beacon also has a significant impact on carbon reduction when compared to a typical mains-powered beacon, making it a cost-efficient, environmentally-friendly pedestrian crossing product.
Our Solabel is perfect for off-grid installation; with no cabling required in order for it to work, the beacon is extremely versatile and can be used almost anywhere. We have recently delivered Solabel units to a busy car park at an ASOS distribution warehouse, and another has been installed on a main pedestrian crossing point at the Port of Tyne ferry terminal.
Solar-powered road safety solutions designed to last
During our design process, it was key to review the impact resistance of the solar panel to ensure durability. Testing confirmed that the beacon has an impact rating of IK10. The panel and beacon are also certified IP54 to ensure that the unit continues to operate normally, even in harsh and wet weather conditions.
At Simmonsigns, we understand the importance of our impact on the environment, which is why we are particularly proud of our range of solar-powered products. Each one has been designed to provide an effective road safety solution whilst also helping to reduce our carbon footprint. The Solabel is the perfect example of our commitment to protecting the environment and keeping people safe.
