Shropshire County Council recently re-tendered their Street Lighting contracts which had been held by Ringway for the last five years.

We are very pleased to understand that Kier has won this term contract for the next five years. Kier have a partnership with Jones Lighting who undertake work on their behalf, particularly with respect to sign lights and bollards that Simmonsigns can supply. Simmonsigns has a good relationship with the Council, Kier and Jones Lighting, and we all share a commitment to improving road safety across the country.

In the recent tender period, there has been a handover process and, when Simmonsigns were approached by Jones Lighting for several Simbol bollards and bases, we were pleased to oblige from our finished stock and supply them with new products in a matter of days. One of these road safety bollards has already been installed at the busy junction in front of the Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury.
