Product: Safe-Way EcoSafelight

Customer: West Berkshire District Council

Contractor: VolkerHighways

West Berkshire District Council have upgraded all non-LED subway lights as part of an ongoing redevelopment project in the area to improve pedestrian safety. Simmonsigns was approached by the council’s contractor, VolkerHighways, to design a solution using our Safe-Way cornice mounted units fitted with a Telensa CMS System.

West Berkshire District Council said, “Simmonsigns were great to work with, from the initial design through to completion. They made the whole process very easy, and worked seamlessly with ourselves and our contractor to deliver a solution that we are very happy with.

Our range of subway lights provide ample lighting for underpasses, and the unique, vandal-resistant design ensures that the lights cannot be tampered with. Each unit includes low energy LEDs arrays and offers adjustable light output for flexible design.

Project Manager for VolkerHighways, David Easton Jnr noted that, “Simmonsigns provided an exceptional service to VolkerHighways during this project - from providing a full lighting design for our client, West Berkshire District Council, to a timely delivery of the product. We have always found Simmonsigns’ knowledge and experience to be invaluable and their Safe-Way units easy to install and maintain.
