As a popular supermarket, it is no surprise that Sainsbury’s in Ludlow serves a huge number of customers on a daily basis. The car park, which sees comings and goings all day long, contains a pedestrian crossing for people to safely gain access to the store.
As an area that attracts a high level of traffic, Sainsbury’s wanted to take precautions to ensure that drivers were made aware of the pedestrian crossing, subsequently causing them to reduce their speed on their approach. As such, the decision was made to install the Simmonsigns’ Solabel.
The Solabel is our solar-powered Belisha beacon which is thoroughly tested and designed for reliable off-grid installation. Free of any cable network requirement, its low-impact solar panel is non-obtrusive and seamlessly blends in with the surroundings. It is also an environmentally-friendly product, making it a cost-effective solution that provides effective road safety whilst simultaneously helping to reduce our carbon footprint.
