Important Update on Covid-19

Update: 19/05/2020

As measures to ease lockdown are being released, Simmonsigns recognises the need to remain vigilant and implement social distancing, handwashing and other important safety priorities in our workplace.

We continue to monitor Government guidelines and updates, for example developing ‘cohorts’ to further minimise risk to individuals and groups at work.

This focus and our continuity throughout this period has enabled us to fulfil your orders. We have seen supply chains recover and have been able to restore our own stock levels, reduce lead times and, where possible, provide immediate ex works availability for knock down repairs.

Once again, thank you to all our team, suppliers and customers who have supported us throughout this period.

Please contact either John Halliday on 07841 052022, Steve Keary on 07545 610282 or Cheryl Bailey on 01952 293333 or email sales@simmonsigns.co.uk for any support you need.

Update: 12/05/2020

Social Distancing Bollard

Simmonsigns has continued to maintain safe work procedures through recent weeks and can now see significant improvements in the supply chain and their return to work. Alternatively, we have been able to re-source components.

This has enabled us to continue supplying products to yourselves and in the case of Simbols, for example, building an ex-work stock to facilitate improved lead times.

Throughout this period we have learnt how to social distance and implement distancing where possible. Some of our team continue to work from home too. As part of this experience, we developed our own internal briefings and signage amongst other safety measures.

One of these items has been our Weebolflex social distancing bollard, a plain bollard with a reflective distancing message to re-enforce behaviour. This bollard can be free-standing, bolted down or fixed to a base plate. Its size and simplicity give a strong message. These are available on reduced lead times, call Cheryl on 01952 217961 or email sales@simmonsigns.co.uk for further information.

Update: 28/04/2020

During the evolving crisis caused by Covid-19 Simmonsigns is still fulfilling orders with the intention of making roads safer.

We are sustaining measures to ensure health, hygiene and operations continue safely and will continue to monitor Government instructions carefully.

Supplying materials to the production lines has, on occasion, been a challenge and we acknowledge there have been some extended deliveries.

In some instances, we have had to re-source components and can confirm that we have done so. Other suppliers have been returning to operations which will further reinforce the robustness of our position. Simmonsigns can now see our operations being sustained whilst ensuring at all times we work safely, both here and with our customers.

As we come to the end of April, a great round of thanks to all our people here, to customers and suppliers who have supported us, rallied together, and helped maintain our market with the safety equipment we so passionately believe in.

Please contact either John Halliday on 07841 052022, Steve Keary on 07545 610282 or Cheryl Bailey on 01952 293333 or email sales@simmonsigns.co.uk for any support you need.

Update: 21/04/2020

Simmonsigns remains operational through this challenging experience and we continue to be grateful for the orders and payments that we are receiving from our customers. Every transaction contributes towards safer roads.

To date all product lines within the business are still being supplied. These orders are being completed in our normal date priority once we have confirmed sites are open and that deliveries will be accepted.

Please contact either John Halliday on 07841 052022, Steve Keary on 07545 610282 or Cheryl Bailey on 01952 293333 or email sales@simmonsigns.co.uk for any support you need.

Update: 14/04/2020

Last week the Secretary of State Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy confirmed that there is no restriction on manufacturing continuing under the current rules.

Those who cannot work from home can continue to travel to work in line with social distancing and hand washing guidelines. He also paid tribute to those keeping the UK economy going.

Simmonsigns has remained operational and continues to fulfil your orders that we have continued to receive throughout this period.

Safety for our staff remains a priority, as is the ongoing supply of our products to yourselves for safer roads.

Please contact either myself 07841 052022, Steve Keary on 07545 610282 or
Cheryl Bailey on 01952 293333 or email sales@simmonsigns.co.uk for any support you need.

Update: 07/04/2020

Simmonsigns is still able to manufacture and supply the road safety products you are ordering, albeit with some product challenges in light of supply chain issues.

The safety of our team and all involved in our industry remains our priority. We have identified that some orders being received appear to be for contracts where either emergency work or repairs are being completed whilst roads are very quiet and therefore safer for your employees.

We have experienced the continued support of existing customers, paying on time and in some local authority cases, appearing to follow government procurement advice and paying very promptly. We are very grateful for this support and will endeavour to treat our suppliers with the same commitment.

Challenges relating to this unprecedented event may not be overcome entirely in the short term. We are preparing to maintain our position as long as we can and thereby support our business and safety critical marketplace, so long as we can do so safely.

Please contact either John Halliday on 07841 052022, Steve Keary on 07545 610282 or Cheryl Bailey on 01952 293333.

Alternatively, please email sales@simmonsigns.co.uk for any support you may need.

Update: 01/04/2020

Simmonsigns is still operational, manufacturing and supplying. We continue to supply our industry with the road safety products it needs although some products are limited as a result of the supply chain.

The safety of our team and all involved in our industry remains our priority. Home working, the office and factory environments have all been thoroughly reviewed in line with guidance from Public Health England and the instructions from the government.

In these unprecedented times, we know clients and suppliers face ever greater challenges. We are also aware that there are a significant number of Local Authorities that continue to manage knocked down and emergency lighting requirements and we intend to support that effort.

We are monitoring government instructions and intend to continue to remain open until those instructions, or other conditions beyond our control, change.

Please contact either John Haliday on 07841 052022, Steve Keary on 07545 610282 or Cheryl Bailey on 01952 293333. Alternatively, please email sales@simmonsigns.co.uk for any support you may need.
